I wonder how I'll be perceived. I'm bored with my look..I've been a blonde all my life and want to change up, I thought about adding some black and red streaks. I have one tattoo all ready but want more.
I'm tired of looking like the girl next door :o) I have a strict %26amp; professional business attitude and I'm a sweet person....but I want a spicy look....your opinions?

Everyone is unique in there own way :) A lot of people say dont do that kinda stuff to your body like piercings tatoo's and hair colors but it just defines that persons personality. There is nothing wrong with it. Usually alot of company's want you to look good without any piercings and tatoo's but some companys will allow that! so if they do by all means i say go for it! :) Be yourself in your own way that is what defines ya.

from a personal perspective ITS HOT from a business perspective, everyone looks at people funny and don't take them as seriously if they don't look "professional" I no longer have my earrings in as it doesn't go well in an exec position.

my opinion is this.. I work in a professional atmosphere and have tattoos, they are small an in private places though so it doesnt have any effect. I wouldnt go with the wild hair though.. id do something a little more subtle just because even though you want to be yourself you want to appear professional to others and thats not a very professional look, unfortunately alot of people probably wouldnt take you seriously.

i think its awesome! i used to be like...had blonde hair, was a cheerleader, typical right? haha...but now i have dark hair, i've had red in it before, and i've done black and blonde, and i now have 5 tattoos...i def want more, but they're not in noticable places except for the one on my wrist that i just got. but just because you're going to be meeting with ppl on a reg. basis doesnt mean you can't express yourself? tattoos and things of that nature are accepted more nowadays so go for it!!! and like you said, you're a sweet person so who cares?

if your going into a professional business you might wanna try streaks that enhance your look rather than make you stand out. e.g your blond so maybe light brown streaks or a different blond to your hair color.
as for the tatoo well, maybe get it in a place thats discreet for work but that you can show off when your not doing business, like your shoulder or ankle.
and in anycase, if people judge you by the way you look their idiots. you can do whatever you want to your body as long as you feel good about it

To some people it might look "spicy", to others it is a bad thing. The streaks in the hair might be okay - as you can change those easily. The tattoo is permanant, check the previous questions about removing and covering tattoos and give that a second thought. You will be stuck with it forever and even though you think it is cool today, you may not in 15-20 years.

I think they are hot if it is done right. Sometime people over do it . Personally, I think girls with tatoos on their are is a turn off. I think that a more manly type. I thinkg girls with totaos on their back, just above the butt, are hot. Again that is just my opinon.

You can still look professional and be perceived as one with black and red streaks in your hair. I would maybe make them subtle, it will still be a huge difference since you've always been a blonde. As far as the tattoos go, It kind of depends are where your getting them. I defiantly wouldn't suggest getting an entire sleeve done right away. Maybe after you build a good clientele and they know about your professionalism first hand and spread the word. We only have one chance to make a first impression. Unfortunately too many people put more merit on a persons appearance then on their abilities. Good luck with your business.

If you want to be taken seriously you have to look professional. If your doing an interview with a person that walks in looking like Kat Von D would you honestly hire her or take her seriously thats if the business is not related to a tattoo shop ..etc..?? I don't have anything against tattoos or streak hair but again first impressions are very important and the first thing people see is you and not your personality. You can always streak your hair and get more tattoos but make sure the tattoos aren't in area where they are visible. As for the hair I think the color you chose is fine just nothing outrageous like blue.

Depends on the clients..Do other businesses like the one you are going to get have dress codes etc.
My husband works in a professional field and they have a dress code where if you have tattoos they must be covered.
I would ask around and see what others think that are in your field of business.
It may offend some, others may not have as much trust in you,
there are a lot of factors involved but I think you should use businesses similar to yours as a gauge/meter and go from there.

I admire people brave enough to express themselves freely. I like seeing people with different hair and clothes. I think it's weird but the same time I think how strong of a person they must be. Tattoo on females isn't so different though but it isn't professional. But I've seen plenty of females with funky streaks in their hair that still seemed professional to me. Be lucky you aren't a guy... people get on their backs just for having hair a little above their shoulders.

Don't do it! Think of some other positive changes than that. I would not feel comfortable going to your business. Sorry! You might elimate the older age group because you want to be "in". Why must you go along with what your age group likes %26amp; what they think is "in"? Blaze your own trail. Have you ever seen old tatoos? They look awful! Especially with some wrinkles %26amp; fading thrown in! Those colored streaks look weird in my opinion but they're great for Halloween! You might be sorry it you do those things! It's difficult enough starting up a business...

Admittedly I've always had a thing for the more eye-catching and energetic people, so I've found that sort of look, that bold identity appealing.
It might be due to my two different coloured eyes that I like unique people, either way, it would still work, even if you're a professional person too.

It depends.. If you can carry the look with confidence.. great.. if you always second guess yourself it might just seem a little bit juvenile..
One person I can think of that stands out in my mind that is a professional, and has that look would be Victoria Wells.. the animal behavior expert on Animal Precinct.. One reason I watch is to see the changes in hair color.. (although the show is really interesting even without that)..
