3 weeks ago I went to the salon to dye my hair. I had dyed it black in the past but it had grown out and my natural color was on at least 9 inches of hair. I went for a haircut and asked the lady to dye it red, I said I didn't care if the bottom was dark. She said that she wanted to lighten it a little bit because it would look bad like that. I though she was going to bleach the black part a little bit, but she ended up bleaching my whole head!!! Then she put more bleach on the black part, then dyed it brown to match the color and THEN dyed it red! My hair now feels awful! Is there any hope?

Use a deep conditioner for color treated hair. I've also heard that raw eggs massaged in in hair is supposed to be very helpful. try a beauty supply store in your area, they can be really helpful.

When the hair is wet....if it's really stretchy and has a chewing gum texture texture then it's needs to be cut.....if its ok then buy a good named penatrative conditioning treated and comb it all through your hair with a wide toothed comb, get a plastic cap/bag and put it on your head and if possible apply some heat to your head...this will really hydrate the hair bonds whilst smoothing down the cuticle scales

sure you could use something like Clairol's "Condition" or other very good brands in a small tube, but it will lighten your hair. I'm not sure whether it will lighten it to an odd color since the ranges of color go from black, brown, to red and then to yellow, so you may in parts undo what your beautician has done for you.

I would rather suggest something like a home remedy like mayonaise (put it on right after you've washed your hair and it's still warm, leave on 10-20 minutes) which will leave it greasy until you wash it 2-3 times, but at least it will have some oil covering the breakage points in the hair and make it a little stronger.

Then with each time you wash your hair use something like Flex shampoo and after you rinse then put on the Flex conditioner and let it set a few minutes and then wash most of it off...and do this each time you wash your hair it will strengthen your hair.

Eventually you will cut off the black ends of your hair and will be able to have a nice red color, but until all that black hair grows out you'll have color problems (different shades).

Flex and Clairol are old and very good brand names.

haha that is funny i just did my hair and if feels bad i use this shamppo and cond. called dumb blonde by bead head its for alll colors and you need to go to a place like a sallys beauty supply and get this reconstructer called generaric that is the name and leaven it for like 20 min and then get a light mousterizer cond. and get a shower cap and put cond. in your hair and leave it in overnight like 2 times a week but if you get something that doesnt say light it will hurt your hair
