I need advice on handling situations like this?

I have jet black hair that is naturally straight. It was long down to my waist before but now I cut it at least 4 inches. People love my hair and that is my asset. However people think that I straigten my hair and I think I have been called a vain person who worries about looks and probably looks in the mirror everyday to take care of my hair. To tell the truth, I just take a bath everyday and comb my hair once and then have a trim. People think I do more than that. Once I went in the bathroom and washed my hands. Two girls in their whispered to each other "Does she straighten her hair?" Some have made jokes to try and cut the whole mane off. I have been made fun of for walking down the halls with it flowing behind me. I don't do it on purpose;it just flows and people are like "Ugh look at her"

What should I do? My piano teacher said they're jealous...is that true? I even cut my hair and when it grows long again I don't know what to do

Also some people have tried to copy me

F those people, be proud of your hair and its healthy condition!

most people hate their hair and want someone elses hair instead and are mad about it .so they get perms, chemically straighten or color their hair and that damages hair a lot. damaged hair does not look good. so when they ask you what you do to your hair to make it fabulous, tell them you use a good conditioner and a brush : no chemicals or heat styling

its hard for them to accept the fact that they work hours on their hair with all kinds of gels, hairsprays, mousse and for what? they still have hair that sucks compared to yours.

if you hear them talking, give them an answer.. and most of all

Rock On with your hollywood hair:)

I'd shave it all off, except for some patches here and there. That'll cure that jealousy thing you speak about.

Advice: ask shorter questions.....forget about your hair....practice your piano....forget about what others say.

you shouldn't worry about those insecure people...they will realize one day that all they know is how do complain about others...and that won't get them far. just cause your hair is awesome doesn't make you a bad person...don't cut it off...that would let them win...be yourself and if it makes them jealous...So What??? they need a life anyways...

I think that some are jealous, but I think you should do what makes you happy. I have found in my 40 + years on this planet, that most people make fun of others to feel better about themselves, or to try to hide there own faults from being exposed.

they are just jealous! don't listen to word they say! it sounds to me like you have beautiful hair and they should be complimenting that. i would love to have your hair and all those people are just rude and insecure about themselves. i am 100% positive they are saying that becuase they are unhappy with their hair. people can be so mean! dont listen to them!

Yes, they are jealous. Show that hair off....dont let those jealous petty bitches get to you....I have bigger than usual chest and girls make comments like "they cant be real" or "when did you buy those".....dont pay any attention....only real friends will compliment you on your hair and enjoy looking at it.

i think they are jealous. I had straight hair passed my waist but blonde and the men used to love it but all the females made fun of me why don't you just cut it off what are you doing with it and all those kind of comments but it was only because their boyfriends would tell them to grow their hair like mine i left my hair alone and ignored everyone else it is your hair do what you want to do with it never mind anyone else when your ready to cut it, cut it until then you have other things to worry about.

OK just by your dicription of your hair, I'm getting jealous! Of course they're jealous. Your hair sounds gorgeous, you shouldn't let them get you down, I'm sure evey one of those girls would love to have your hair.
