Why does everyone think that every single person has to fit into a "clique"

I think it is stupid... and the stereotyping that goes along with them.

preps- are not all just stupid ditzy rich people that only care about themselves.

Emo- just because some people wear black, or die thier hair black and listen to my chemical romance or fall out boy and other stuff doesnt mean they are emo.

thugs- okay well there aren't too many true thugs around my parts. but jsut because some one wears baggy pants, and oversized teeshirts, doesn't make them a gangster

pimps- so someone has had a lot of girlfriends/boyfriends.. that doesn't mean they are a pimp or player.

and so on...

I think it all is stupid.. just because you wear certain clothes or clothing brands you are judged and labeled.

your personality makes you, so stop labeling people or trying to pose to fit into a clique. be yourself.

and if anyone really has an answer to why people label others..i'd like to know.

Because we need to protect ourselves, we put different types of behavior or clothing into a certain category, and we judge it that way so we don't get hurt or have to deal with it. We don't have to come out of our comfort zone and get to know the real person underneath. It's human nature, it's nature. If you look at certain insects and animals, they have specialized coloring so other animals don't atttack them. Perhaps we as humans do the same thing, maybe we see that type of dress and our natural self says, stay away, that could be emotionaly stressing. Who knows. People are just stange.

When people label others, it's just they're way of hiding there imperfections. There just plain stupid! Okay, there's' this new girl in my school, she's a cheerleader and she's real pretty and skinny. The day she came to school, those stupid preppy snots officially made her a preppy popular kid like them!

She's way too nice for that. She's a quiet nice girl.

i dont know why people do that sometimes.....it used to be a lot worse when i was younger but starting this year it hasn't really mattered as much......take me......i wear A VERY small amount of a%26amp;f, hollister, AE ect and i have black nails but im considered a prep or my friends who wear black and have long hair and theyre considered emo and i know theyre not and it bothers me that people act like that......i love their personalitie and thats why i hang out with them......maybe it gets better with age i dont know but i wish you luck in the stereotypes i really do

OMG! I totally agree w/ you! My school only has 60 juniors..its an extremely small school and I hate it cuz ok...almost all the girls in the junior class are pretty. So they all hang out together and make fun of other people. and on the other hand, I hang out with the people that aren't like them, like trying to be cute and wearing their little shorts that almost show their butt, sneezing like a five year old, all that, and we are considered the nerds..okay I am not concieted at all..seriously but many agree that i am pretty...and no i don't like school, i just get good grades but that is only cuz i have a goal I want to achieve but it seriously sucks! i hate it
